Treatment of fits (seizures) :
- In adults and children (> 10 years) -Starting
- dose - 10 to 15 mg/kg daily,
- maintenance dose - below 60 mg/kg daily.
Treatment of mania :
- In adults - Starting
- dose - 250 mg daily in divided doses,
- maintenance dose - according to clinical effect.
Treatment of headaches due to migraine :
- In adults - Starting
- dose - 250 mg twice daily,
- maintenance dose - up to 1000 mg daily.
